More Appearances

Wednesday January 6th - Today I dropped off my gowns and crown and various pictures at the Canton Public Library. These items will be on display through the month of January and on the 28th it will be the location of an open house for people to view dvd's of the state and national pageants and pick up applications for the 2010 Mrs. SD America Pageant.

December 22nd to the 28th - My family and I were in Colorado for Christmas and while I was there I was able to visit the USO located in the Denver airport. My father was in the Airforce and my brother was in the Army, so it was important to them that I reach out to the USO during my time as Mrs. SD. It is a great place for members of the military to relax with their families between flights and the volunteers are caring, wonderful people.

Monday December 21 - Toy Town with the Salvation Army and Miss SD Teen USA - Alyssa Hustrulid, Miss SD Teen USA, joined me to assist families in picking our toys for the kids for Christmas. The Salvation Army is such a great organization, I only wish we could have stayed longer but the weather turned on us and we had to leave early. I hope to work with them again in the near future.

Tuesday December 15th - Argus Leader Photo Shoot - This was so much fun! Modeling necklaces for the Style section of the December 18th Argus Leader.

Monday December 7th - Canton Christmas Parade - My family and I had a great time riding in the parade together. My husband decked out my suburban with Christmas lights and my girls loved waiving to their friends.

Sunday December 6th - Benefit for Austin Schoppert was held in Tea, SD. Austin is 3 years old and as a result of bacterial meningitis, both arms and legs were amputated. I met some of his neighbors, friends and family. They are a great bunch with big hearts. Austin is home now and I wish him and his family the best and want to thank everyone who helped make this benefit a success!
